Albert S. Golbert was admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1964 and is a member of the American Society of International Law (Co-Chairperson, Membership Committee, 1982-1984). Mr. Golbert was also a member of the American Bar Association where he was a member and on the Board of Editors (1975-'76). He is a founding member of the Committee on International Practice of the Business Law Section (1986-87) and of the Section of International Law (Member of the Executive Committee, 1987-90, Treasurer, 1989-90, Advisor, 1990-93 and Advisor Emeritus, 1993-) of the State Bar of California as well as a member of the International Tax Committee (1991-present).
